Perhaps your neighbor swears by CBD oil, your boss claims it eases his anxiety or maybe you’ve come across a few articles talking about its suggested benefits.
CBD oil is gaining attention and fast, but what can it actually do for you?
CBD oil comes from the cannabis plant and users report it can serve a variety of benefits. Many people mistake CBD with Tetrahedral (THC). THC is responsible for the euphoria, or “high”, that users report feeling.
CBD is gaining popularity because it shows promise in providing users with many benefits without the psychoactive effects of THC affecting the body and brain.
However, strict federal regulations make it difficult to find scientific evidence on the benefits of CBD. For now, we rely on user testimonials to provide insight on its reported benefits.
In June 2018, the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) approved Epidiolex which is the first prescription CBD oil made from marijuana. Epidiolex aims to reduce two rare forms of seizures for patients who are older than 2 years in age.
Users report that hemp oil helps relieve various types of pain.
Actress, Olivia Wilde, was on Broadway for six months. She says she is a firm believer in CBD because it helped relieve her physical aches.
“My body was wrecked. My neck was really tight,” said Wilde. “The CBD has relaxing benefits, and the idea is to avoid using too many painkillers.”
A 2017 study examined the impact of CBD on male Wistar rats experiencing pain. The rats were submitted to a model of incision pain and then injected with a dose of CBD.
According to the conclusions of the study, the rats experienced different dimensions of responses to the surgical incisions. It also gives further support to the idea that “the sensorial and affective dimensions of pain may be differentially modulated by CBD.” Meaning, the rats experienced different levels of pain after receiving CBD.

Sleep is one of the main benefits that people associate with CBD oil.
In a 2013 study the sleep patterns of rats were recorded. Over a span of four days, their sleep was recorded during light and dark periods. The recordings found evidence of CBD oil increasing sleep time during the light periods of the day.
“REM sleep latency increased in the group injected with CBD 40 mg/kg and was significantly decreased with the dose of 10 mg/kg on the post-test day.”
Kameron Virk, A reporter in Ireland, said he struggled with anxiety and sleep. After using hemp oil he noted his sleep was improving drastically.
“Issues with sleep is one of the main reasons I first looked into using CBD and it immediately seemed to have the desired effect, “ said Virk. “Falling asleep was easier, while waking up in the middle of the night became a rarity.”
Chloe Carnahan said our hemp oil, NatureRx, is a game changer.
“As someone who struggles with anxiety and getting good sleep,” said Carnahan. “NatureRx has been the ultimate tool in helping me conquer both of these issues.”
Olivia Joy said she is a forever NatureRx customer.
“I’ve been taking it the last two weeks and it has been a total game changer for me,” said Joy, “It has helped with lowering my stress levels, giving me better quality sleep, and helping loosen my joints.”
Many people suffer from depression and anxiety. According to the World Health Organization, more than 300 million people suffer from depression while more than 260 million people are living with anxiety disorders globally.
Research also suggests CBD oil might play a role in changing how our brain’s receptors respond to serotonin. Serotonin is a special chemical known as a neurotransmitter, which is believed to contribute to overall well-being and happiness.
Antidepressant drugs aim to balance neurotransmitters in the brain. The downside is, many pharmaceutical drugs often cause uncomfortable side-effects like drowsiness, nausea, headaches and agitation. CBD oil has shown promise in supporting stress-response in a more natural way.
HelloMD found 80% of users found it to be, “very or extremely effective” for depression, anxiety, insomnia and joint pain. 42% stopped using traditional medications in favor of CBD supplements.

“While normally I’d be slightly tripped up by little things like an overly crowded subway car or a full inbox at work,” said Clark. “The CBD oil seems to have taken the edge off of my anxiety a bit.”
Clark notes her anxiety didn’t completely disappear after a week, but she did feel like herself again.
Sydney Dutra said she struggles with anxiety to the point that it consumers her and leaves her questioning if she is doing enough as a mom.
Dutra typically wakes up three to four time during the night. But after using NatureRx she feels less anxious and only woke up once during the night.
